Camano Preparedness Group has many resources that are offered to the residents of the Camano Island/Stanwood area.  Some of these are listed, with descriptions, in the right hand column.  We will present these programs to local any group.

Community Programs Available

These programs can be made to your organization, water district, home owners association, or club:

• Who is CPG - A brief description of the group and what it does for our community

• What If - A Power Point presentation that describes the possibility of the Island becoming isolated and actions residents can take to be prepared.

• What's in your kit - A Power Point presentation describing what to include in your 72 hour preparedness kit.

• Know Your Neighborhood - A Power Point presentation that describes the actions neighborhoods can take to aid each other in the event of a disaster.

• Introduction to Generators - A Power Point presentation that describes the various generator options that are available to community residents.

• CERT - A Power Point presentation that gives an overview of the CERT Program and why it is important to Island residents in and after a disaster.

• CERT Training - A complete program sponsored by Island County Department of Emergency Management to train residents to assist first responders in the event of a disaster/emergency.

• Plate Tectonics and the Cascadia Fault - A Power Point presentation on the cause of earthquakes, the danger they represent to the Island.

• Volcano's in our Backyard - A presentation discussing volcano's in Washington, their history, how they work, and what danger they may represent to Camano Island.

• Water Purification - A presentation on how to use the various water purification equipment thatis available.

• Your Home Can Survive a Wildfire - Learn about what you can do to protect your home wildfire. 

• What to do until help arrives - A presentation on the steps needed to save a life in the few minutes before the first responders arrive
